On August 11, the final of the 2026 China “AI+” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Challenge themed Smart‑Talent Hub of Dragon City, AI in Changzhou concluded successfully in Changzhou. This marks the first time the final of this national‑level professional AI competition has been hosted in Changzhou. Thirty high‑quality sci‑tech innovation teams from more than 20 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities across China competed on stage, showcasing cutting‑edge innovations of AI empowering the real economy.
During the thematic exchange session Smart Healthcare for Public Well‑being: Scenario Application and Practical Exploration of AI‑Empowered Medical and Healthcare Services, Zhao Boyu, General Manager of Dashi Jiuxin’s Product R&D Center, delivered a speech titled From Data to Intelligent Agents: Practices and Reflections on AI Implementation in Operating Rooms. He shared in‑depth practical experience of deploying AI within operating‑room environments. He outlined three evolutionary phases spanning two decades in the industry: from informatization of paper‑based records to address incomplete documentation, to digitalized closed‑loop workflows tackling unmanageable processes, and now the arrival of an intelligent era featuring human‑AI co‑piloting. He pointed out four prevailing industry pain points: data silos, heavy reliance on manpower, subjective quality control, and extensive operational management. The root cause lies not in a lack of AI functions, but in the absence of a complete multimodal data foundation. “Without high‑quality data, intelligent agents are built without raw materials.”
To address these challenges, Dashi Jiuxin has built a three‑tier integrated architecture spanning from data acquisition to intelligent agents. Self‑developed devices including surgical‑field robots and smart microphones realize full‑domain holographic data collection within operating rooms. Various intelligent applications are then built modularly on the proprietary AI platform, covering the full perioperative workflow: pre‑operative ward visit and verification, intra‑operative monitoring and instrument counting, post‑operative debriefing, operational management, and personnel behavior supervision. Among these, the surgical‑quality evaluation intelligent agent co‑developed with Ruijin Hospital of Shanghai Jiao Tong University converts previously subjective intraoperative collaboration metrics such as instrument hand‑off timing and aseptic operation standards into objective, quantifiable and traceable AI‑generated scores for the first time. While strictly observing security principles including on‑premises data storage and physician‑led clinical decision‑making, the company opened three cooperation avenues on‑site: joint‑algorithm development, compliant computing‑power support, and hospital‑scenario collaboration, inviting industrial‑chain partners to jointly advance vertical AI solutions for operating rooms.
With years of dedication to the smart operating‑room track, Dashi Jiuxin stays at the forefront of medical‑AI innovation, and drives technical iteration based on real‑world clinical demands. Going forward, the company will further scale up core‑technology R&D, improve the multimodal data foundation and build out a full‑scenario intelligent‑agent matrix. It aims to equip clinical operating spaces with intelligent, precise and human‑centered technologies. Leveraging AI to safeguard full‑process perioperative safety, Dashi Jiuxin will enable digital healthcare to shine with the combined brilliance of humanity and technology.
